How to stop being shy?

alright there's this girl that i love, don't judge. she said she loved me, and she does, but she is afraid to date because i'm too timid and shy around girls. i know i am, and the only way to fix it is to be outgoing and NOT SHY. so how do i become unshy around her? i tried talking more but i was afraid to hold hands or snuggle or do anything more than a hug. so talking more didn't help. would it be the way i talk? should i be outgoing and loud and spontaneous like i am around my guy friends? because this is killing me. and btw i've never gotten far with a girl, i've never had my first kiss. i've been wondering too if that is a factor in this? because i feel if i did that then i would be more comfortable around girls in general and be able to flirt. i am inable to flirt because i'm afraid of the first kiss. so help? thank you, it is greatly appreciated.
