I know it is legal to drink on California's Amtrak and Caltrain trains but what about the LA Metrolink train?

A conductor on Caltrain told me about some obscure law from the 1800's regarding the rails and drinking that was still on the books. I was curious if this applied to Metrolink or if they have outlawed it? If of drinking age of course!
