How terrible was this?

My friend Grant who is blind was my substitute wing-man on saturday when my actual wing-man Reggie had to work. I was talking to a girl and I noticed she was probably the kind of girl that waits a very long time to have into a relationship so I walk away. I pulled Grant over to the next table to start a routine where I am the thoughtful man that is helping my blind brother. Grant stops me and tells me that she didn't seem done with her story, I tell him I know and that I knew it was going nowhere so I just walked off. He said what I did was terrible. On a scale from 1 to 10 how bad was it.
