I am excellent at what I do. My new boss wants to fire me simply because "he doesn't like me"?

Too much to read it all but in short it depends on the state. Most states are "work at will" states meaning you are a volunteer and you are free to quit anytime. but your company also has the right to get rid of you anytime they want to with or without reason. I have fired people several times because "their services were no longer required".
